About the Accompanying Artists:
Abhijeet Panse is a popular percussion artist in the DC metropolis with over 20 years of tabla playing
experience in India and US. He also plays dhol and other percussion instruments. He is a Tabla Visharad, and has studied tabla under
Pandit Ramesh Samant from Pune. Currently, Abhijeet Panse continues to learn Tabla under the tutelage of Shri Prithwiraj
Bhattacharjee, a renowned tabla player of the Punjab Gharana. Abhijeet Panse also gives tabla lessons
at his home in Chantilly, VA.
Arvind Bhand started learning harmonium accompaniment at the age of ten and was influenced by seventeen years
of stay in the musical town of Gwalior. He has played with several luminaries in the field of Indian classical and
semi-classical music, as well as with original scores of light music. He is essentially self-taught, and has to his credit
successful concert tours in the U.S. as well as in India as a harmonium accompanist. |

Maya Dharmadhikari
Maya Dharmadhikari has completed Sangeet Visharad & Sangeet Alankar (Part 1) and has a Masters degree in Music
from University of Mumbai. She has received extensive training for over fifteen years and still continues to train in
Jaipur Atrauli Gharana style Ragadari from renowned singer & her guru, Mrs. Manik Bhide.
For many years, she has performed at Chinmaya Mission on the Janmashatmi day and has also performed at Sur Singar Samsad Devotional
Music. She has presented many private concerts in Mumbai which have been mixed events of classical and semi-classical music. She
has conceptualized, planned and presented thematic group programs (Ashta Bhairav, Natanga Natrang) in and around Mumbai.
